There's more to this I know, It's a constant struggle but, I know i'll make it through. I'm not useless, I'm not worthless. I mean everything to somebody, Somewhere. Depression is a parasite without reason, I won't let this define who i am anymore. I need to pick myself up, off my knees, and find purpose in what is real. I admit that I was dying, but I will always say that you have saved me. The past has carved my bone like stone, Left me breathless with no where to turn, Some things are better left unsaid, But I won't sleep until every last word is said, Breathe air into my lungs, And make me whole, Again. It's all a matter of perception, When the host has lost all direction, I have the strength, To forget the thoughts that haunted my mind.

Desolation is a concept ep with a message that is very clear through the lyrics and words that are spoken.
It follows the story of a man who has been pushed down and abused and neglected by society. A man who has had enough of the world and just wants to end his life because he fears that it will not get better. This man takes his own life and while he is dying he realizes that things could get better, that life is a series of up and down spirals, but that it also a gift that should not be taken for granted. As he is about to die he reaches a state of metanoia. Regret and remorse for what is done is felt and fear that there is no coming back from where he is.
Suicide is not chosen; it happens when pain exceeds resources for coping. Suicide should never be the answer, but, unfortunately, for many, it is.
Reach out and be there for everyone, even if you do not know who they are or what they are going through. Reaching out means more to them then anybody may know. A simple "hey" or lending an ear for five minutes may very well be enough to save a life.
Be the hope, be the metanoia, be the catalyst for a new, positive way of thinking, and just be there for any and everyone just as much as you would want them to be there for you in your time of need.
